Many therapists are writing and asking why the Festival is getting so much attention. When I tell them about the price differences, the only symposium and all the free stuff, they are shocked.

WMF cost less than 1/3 of AMTA and less than 1/2 of FSMTA. WMF is the only venue that allows the general public to attend classes.

More options and more continuing education credits for less money is why we are getting so many therapists and the attention. People are excited about this grass-roots effort to have fun at a Massage Convention and at a wonderful location.

Many therapists bring their entire families and have real vactions with the money they save, by coming to WMF. They come in days before the event and stay days after. They really have fun and regroup before the kids go back to school. Others linger in beautiful nearby campgrounds and enjoy a well derserved break.

The best deal is for vendors. They pay about 1/8 the cost at WMF!

June in Kentucky is WMF

July in Florida is FSMTA

Sept. in Minnesota is AMTA

Look at what is offered besides just classes. Compare the quality and quantity of the entire event.

I did attend one AMTA FL State meeting in 2008, and only one class was offered for a $200 plus registration fee. Needless to say I only attended the State meeting and not the CE class. Plus it was held at a Hotel that cost over $100 a night. I stayed at a nother hotel for less. Enough said about that situation.

I was at the very first World Massage Festival back in 2006 and have seen it double and triple and quadruple in size. The growth has been amazing over the years. This will be my 5th year to attend the Festival. There is none like it. The instructors are all first class rated. Their classes are always full and over flowing they are so good. Not to mention all the choices of classes available. This year new will be intro classes for which I am taking LOMI LOMI. I will take the regular class next year in NC. Room and Board on a first class rate college campus is a plus. This has made the Festival much more affordable for all of us. Berea ia an amazing college. They are about giving back which is the whole philosophy behind the World Massage Festival. There is so much fun and great entertainment. Lanny is a hoot of a comedian and I have enjoyed getting to know him on facebook. This year he will know who I am. Also, music at the Festival this year, and an amazing closing ceremony with Jenny Ray. The symposium always generates such interesting discusion. You just have to come and check it out for yourelf.

I am making my trip a vacation for me this year. I will be in Montgomery, AL on Sunday, June 13, and then in Scottsboro, AL on Monday June 14 . Scottsboro has the largest warehouse of unclaimed baggage for sale and I want to see what they have for sale. Then Monday night I will be staying in Chattanooga, TN and driving in on Tuesday evening to Berea. Since this trip is for my continuing education I can write off all these expenses and enjoy a vacation out of it all.

You do not want to miss the World Massage Festival this year. It will be the biggest and best ever over all the other conventions and for a lot less money. Go to www.worldmassagefestival.com and check out all the details. It is the place to be June 17-21, 2010 in Berea, KY at Berea College. I can asure you that the AMTA and FSMTA folks will be there seeing what they can learn from Mike Hinkle and the World massage Festival. .
That's right Darcy! You are one of the initial folks that came in 2006. You will get your 5th year of classes free at WCU next year. Free registration! Therapists love the idea. Four more paid ones and starting with your 10th consecutive year, you will never pay the registration fees again! Eight years of actually paying for registration and free education after that. Who else does this for therapists? Nobody! And more is coming for therapists and vendors! Keep watching and "Keep the Faith!"

Thanks Micheal, You give away so much to the therapists that I forget it all. Come to the World Massage Festival everyone. You will not be disappointed. There is something there for everyone.
