what tools do you use to keep track of appointments, payments, client info, etc. (basically all accounting and administrative stuff). i seriously need to get organized. I have Microsoft Office, so i can create spreadsheets and things like that. but i would have to develop/design them. i was wondering if there was anything out there specifically suited for our type of work, either online or software, where templates are already done and we just tweak it to our particular needs.

Lisa - I keep seeing offers for free trials of online booking services when I log into facebook. I'm curious if they also offer exports of the appointment data so that you could just make spreadsheets right from there...

Unfortunately, I haven't tried any of them, so I have nothing really productive to offer. I was using a program called Bento to keep client data and you don't even want to know what kind of hot mess I have for tax info!!
just bumping this up and wondering what people use to keep track of things administratively and financially. I have seen online places, then there's software and then the ol' manual paper trail.

I'm also going to post this up in the marketing group.

thanks for the input Kathleen!! i'l be sure to stay AWAY from Bento!! :)
Hi Lisa,

My husband and I just released our new massage software called Bodywork Buddy. It's an online system that is designed to help therapists keep records of clients, appointments, track gift certificates and tally business expenses.
You can find out more information at www.bodyworkbuddy.com.
