I do training on Business Etiquette and Protocol and was recently asked to do training at a SPA. Read a lot therapies, etc. but found very little about this matter. Any help out there?

Other than the fact that you might want to address the Code of Ethics as part of it, since there are the special concerns of naked people in a spa, I don't see how business etiquette in a spa is going to be any different than business etiquette in a bank. It is all about minding your manners and behaving well, treating people courteously....people think etiquette is all about eating with the right fork and nothing could be further from the truth. Just take what you usually present and adapt it to the fact that unclothed and vulnerable people require a little special handling.
Thanks Laura and you are quite right. Good manner are good manners everywhere. Any particular say about people with any kind of incapacity? Shall we ask if she needs any help ar allow her to take her time?
Thanks a lot

Vera - I see quite a few elderly clients. I explain about getting on/off the table safely and ask if I can be of any assistance. Whether the answer is yes or no, I tell them to take their time and go slowly. I have a newer client in the early stages of Alzheimer's and explain carefully how I want him to get on/off and turn on the table each time. He gets off of the table to turn over and forgets to lie back down - I gently remind him. As to manners - we all agree - good manners are good manners. I treat people the way I want to be treated professionally and courteously.
What do you know about their business model and clientele? If nothing, you will be forced to make generalizations. If you know a lot, you can be much more specific and practical. Tailor the message to the needs of your audience.
Thanks Jason. Always interesting to hear from other professionals.
