I am fascinated with KT and would love to learn more about it as well. I understand the basic concepts behind it and would like to learn how to apply it. Nancy, if you find a course please post about it. Thanks.

Nancy,

It works well after treatment if the area is very clean. I have used rubbing alcohol, don't have a shower in my building. As far as charging, the tape costs about $1.00 per strip, so the most I have used is two. Since I'm not certified in KT tape, I just throw it into the session for free. How about that for a "value added service." I have also had a few clients show up with KT tape from their chiro or PT. I don't know/think they charge for the taping.

I have been using KT tape for less than one year. I have trained myself by practicing, watching many videos, and offering to tape anyone. I started last year for my wife's shoulder and kept going.

I have incorporated it into my practice by offering it for the following; plantar fascitis, shoulder pain, low back pain, tennis elbow, and a few others. Many clients are receptive. Sometimes the tape works well, a few times it falls right off.

Best to apply after massage and when you have cleaned the area very well. Check out the KT tape website-it's great.

Cheers,
