Massage and Hospice care
Our local Hospice is just now starting to address the need for body workers with patience. How many of you are volunteering at a Hospice facility or in home care? Any suggestions, or ideas that you can share regarding training, and implementation of a new service. I have been trying to get this up and running for over a year and they just now appointed a director of the massage program who is also a nurse. This should be a perfect paring but there seems to be one glitch after another regarding legal, health department, HR. You name it. All this mire is delaying a wonderful service to those in the Hospice system. Any thoughts out there?

Look up comfort touch and compassionate touch. They are both great for education and probably have presentation info for you.
