What made the article interesting? Some people have some amazing tattoos. I do not have that issue.

I haven't got the article yet, but here goes. I am absolutely fascinated by tatttos. I have worked on many clients and never fail to marvel at the artwork. I really enjoy seeing skin that is decorated, especially after 23 years in massage. The story about the ink is usually unique. Here are a couple that stand out:
one women had a butterfly with her twin son's name on her low back to cover a surgery scar.
another had a fresh tattoo and I could feel the ink under her skin.
one man had a lion's head on his back, I kept thinking it would smear.
one friend had both his hips and gluts done in the Cook island, these were sailor's and fisherman's tattoos to protect you if you fell overboard.
Just my 2 cents.

I like tattoos and the stories they represent! Two stand out in my mind:
1. A woman with a stylized half-moon half-sun on her calf. She'd gotten it because of her husband who she married later in life, "because he gave me the sun and the moon!" Between the story and the way she said it, I was wiping tears on my sleeves that session.
2. Worked in physical therapy a few years back. One memorable patient was a stereo-typical looking "tough biker", who was a big teddy bear. :-) As I was working his R shoulder (which had been shaved prior to his rotator cuff repair) we got to talking about his tattoos. He directed me to his L shoulder and the tat he called his "Butterfly in the Woods". I had to part the hair on the L shoulder to see this beautiful little colored butterfly!

Haven't seen it. Is it about avoiding fresh tattoos or infected tattoos? What makes it interesting for massage? These days I get many with tats. I also have clients whose religion prohibits tats. Either way I still do massage.

As a therapist with tattoos I am curious what the article's slant is? Posting from my netbook and the 10 inch screen is just too tiny to read online magazines on. I only have two right now, scheduled to get another, an 'ink replica' of my wedding ring on top of my ring finger since I can't wear the real thing while I work, and none of my clients thus far have had a problem with them. They are both visible when I do outdoor events, and this is a small town, so I couldn't hide them if I tried.
