I have a lot of cop clients who have lots of pain in their low backs, hips and sometimes running down the leg, on the side that their guns are held.   I work them out and they feel great when they get up off my table.  I'm wondering if any other therapist sees the same thing in their police clients especially the cops who wear service belts?

If you do see the same thing what so you do for this clients?

this is often caused by imbalance in the sitting position when these folks sit. the belts/objects/guns/batons attached to them often cause hinderance or objections so that they are not able to sit in a balanced position. this is similar to having a bulky wallet in the back pocket on one side only. these pains are alleviated by trigger points in the lower back, glutes and leg areas. get yourself a trigger point app or chart and look at the referral patterns. there are also some exercises that can help this.
