Good Morning all.
I have recently been contacted by a parent looking to receive Massage services for her 7 year old boy.
To date (other than Infant massage classes) I have not had the opportunity to work on a child this young.
What advice would you provide for ensuring I have a parental consent form, and any suggestions in regards to the parent chaperoning the session etc?

Many thanks in advance.

Make sure the parent is there to fill out all of the forms, and that the parent signs everything that needs signing. At our massage center, we require the parent to be in the room during the client intake, and also during the session. For kids that young, we rarely do more than 30 minutes, as they are often too squirmy for anything longer. At ages 11 and up, the parent and child decide whether the parent stays in the room or not. Until age 18, we require parental consent before a massage, no matter how many times the child has been to us before.
