I find that Bon Vital and Bindi products work very well for me. And I'm a big fan of Biotone products as they have been top quality for many years. All three brands are high quality and I've never had negative client reactions to their oils.
I especially like the shea butter from Bon Vital. I go thru a five oz. tin every 30 - 50 treatments. Not inexpensive, but the clients appreciate it.

I like the Sombra products. But I rarely use commercial products, preferring to blend my own. I use Jojoba oil, Grapeseed oil, rice bran oil, olive oil, and sesame oil for reduced glide. I avoid the exotic oils because of price and that I simply don't find a need with the properties of the above stated oils.
I'm with you: the purer, the better, both in terms of number of ingredients, and also with regards to how the ingredient was processed. My very favorites are the incredible organic oils from ReignDance.com. I especially love their organic virgin apricot oil (wonderful for the skin - mine as well as my client's) and organic hemp seed oil (for sore muscles).

Oh boy am I the only therapist that actually uses oil? Organic grapeseed to be exact. I like its versatitlity. A number of therapists do not like oil but in the day when i went to school (18 light years ago) we learned that it is all about regulating the amount. A pump bottle solves this problem. I personnaly have an issue with anything I may put on a client that contains additives to insure cleaner sheets. I work with a number of clients with immune system issues and would be concerned with anything that is not pure. Read your lables. You might feel the same way afterwards.
does anyone use neem oil in their practice? i have read about its properties, but wonder about the smell. thanks
I've used a variety of oils. I was using coconut oil predominantly but then developed a skin sensitivity to it. I switched to Soothing Touch Nut Free Lite, which I liked, but switched away from because I noticed the skin issue again. I picked up a bottle of Organic Bath and Body Deep Tissue Lotion so hopefully that works out a bit better. If the store had Sacred Earth Cream in stock (they were sold out at the time) I would have picked that up instead, I had a small bottle of that in the past and was pretty thrilled with it.
I eventually came full circle from massage school.  We started out using jojoba oil and since then tried out many brands and products, and now I use only pure oils.  I start with jojoba and make my own blends using apricot kernal oil which can be beneficial for those with mature and sensitive skin, grapeseed oil and olive oil.  I knew that it was best to use a pure organic oil like jojoba on my young and elder clients since their skin is more porous, so I finally figured why not with all of my clients.  Who needs the added preservatives and frangrances that are in other products?
I haven't found a brand I like more than others really but I like Vitamin E lotions with a little bit a grape seed oil in it. It gives me the perfect glide, especially in the winter months. When it is so cold the oil adds a little more to keep the body from absorbing so much. I find I use less lotion that way. I just mix a few drops of oil in the lotion and it goes a long way.
For oils: Sacred Earth Botanicals is my favorite. I've been hooked on SE oils since I first purchased a bottle when I was in massage clinic (massage school had stinky oils). I've tried other oils but I keep coming back to SE.  For creams: Soma Silk is my favorite, it doesn't stain sheets or client's clothing, my clients love the feel of it on their skin (it is very moisturizing and contains calendula and jojoba) and I love the workability of it. It's also decently priced. I have a couple of clients who buy it by the 1/2 gallon and use it like a lotion.
