SMRT: Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique

Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique is a series of gentle contractions that allow therapists to release muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue. This allows natural realignment of joints, the painless resolution of trigger points, and the removal of adhesions, which restores and enhances homeostasis of the area being worked.

Benefits

SMRT has a balancing effect on the nervous system.

SMRT is extremely stimulating to the lymphatic system

SMRT unblocks the meridians and moves stagnant energy out of the system

Energetic Trauma Release- Oct.6, 2012, Lafayette, La. CE workshop, LA.LMT's.
This class is designed to increase your knowledge regarding the effects of trauma/chronic stress in your practice, with your family or as a self care model. Learn how secondary trauma affects those dealing with trauma and abuse with others. Learn how “triggers” affect a person after the event or trauma is over and how to release them, replacing fear motivated behavior with a sense of calm.

When someone experiences emotional or physical trauma, illness, chronic stress, surgery, suppressed or negative feelings, this causes “energy blocks” in the body, affecting our health and well being. Dr Norm Shealy states-”all psychological/emotional problems are based in anger, guilt, anxiety or depression from past traumas; even slight traumas in our past can have devastating consequences.”

Mind, Body Self-Care Strategies- Oct.7, 2012
This class is especially designed to help you escape from the stress of life, and discover an inner world of calm, peace & joy. You will learn about self-healing and why it is so important to take care of ourselves. Do you put everyone else's needs in front of yours so you are the last one taken care of? This class will give you tools and techniques you can use to heal your body and soul and really enjoy your life. As most of us are caregivers, we need to take care of ourselves in order to be of service to anyone else. You will learn skills to recognize your own stress patterns, and reduce symptoms of acute traumatic stress. Participants will learn mind, body, spirit levels, meditation, energetic relaxation techniques, labyrinth and much more. A TIME TO RELAX and REJUVENATE!
$50 deposit required holds your spot
$125 for each class or $195 for both classes that can be taken consecutively or on separate weekends. Lafayette, La.
