so national certification exams only require 100 hours of anatomy, yet florida requires 150.. and florida requires NO eastern medicine hours.. and the exams now have at least 10-20% of the questions dealing with eastern stuff.. so why not take 50 hours from anatomy and turn it into eastern education?

You are right. In Florida, we had little Eastern Medicine education and at least 20% of the test (which I took in Mobile, AL.)had questions concerning it.
I agree with you Monica that it is important for the therapist to be well educated about the muscle groups and anatomy.  Massage therapy is after all a healing art, and would be a wasteful practice with a clueless therapist.  A bad massage is not only a waste of good money but it could be very dangerous for the client.
