advice-oops!

Do not read from the textbook in the classroom. Assign the reading and assume the students read the book before class begins.  Avoid lecture.  Make the informaton from the textbook come alive by leading discussions and activies based on the book information.
My bit of wisdom/advice to a new instructor would be to always lead by example.
A lot of Practice and go direct to the point in the theory part.

Recently I've been asked for guidance and direction from manual therapists concerning treatment of some pretty in-depth injuries they are treating.
I sat and thought about what advise I would have liked to have had when I was first starting my career 18yrs ago.
I've written "Part 1" of this series in an effort to provide some perspective into assessment and treatments of our patients.
Let me know what you think.
