Comment by Gary W Addis, LMT on January 3, 2013 at 4:44am Back in the 80s during my serious bodybuilding days, having easy access to whatever I wanted w/o prescription in Mexico pharmacies, I experimented with L-Dopa as an aid to recovery and mood elevation. Miniscule dosages, so I didn't permanently screw up my hormone metabolism. Even then I knew that dopamine was serious stuff. But, fanatic that many serious athletes are, I swallowed the pills anyway.

Comment by Gordon J. Wallis on November 1, 2012 at 7:08pm Gosh I enhance my work by getting the placebo effect on my side when I'm about to work on someone that's hurting or sore. I show them a letter from a doctor that says I cured him of back pain...You should see them relax after they read that letter.. It helps me help them.. I know it does. Ive had that letter for years and never really thought about using it as part of their therapy. I have a book on my kindle. THE PLACEBO EFFECT AND HEALTH Combining Science & Compassionate Care by W. Grant Thompson. Real interesting.
