I would appreciate any specific suggestions.  AIS was recommended to me in another discussion.  I am currently going on two months of numbness in both hands.  I am headed to the hand specialist next week.  I have been getting deep tissue massage and working on myself, but am obviously missing something.  I have been interested in AIS for a while and now seems to be the perfect time to immerse myself and my wrists in it.  Thanks!

when the problem occurs bi-laterally it usually means there is a disk problem... start icing your neck c-5 / c-7 25 minutes at a time 4-5 times a day and see what happens. muscle stripping and stretching would be next.
Hello Sue,

The focus would be from your neck down to your fingertips. AIS is extremely effective for Carpal Tunnel provided you do your stretching and strengthening exercises on a regular basis. The best thing to do is to find a practitioner near you to, at the very least, show you how to perform the stretches & strength exercises properly. Where are you located? Let's see if we can find someone in your area.

Health & Happiness,
Marjorie

Hey Sue,
I will send you an E-mail
Sue,
AIS is the way to go with carpal tunnel problems I have been working with AIS almost 7 years now I have helped many number of clients with this inconvenience. If you go to the site Stretchingusa.com and click on therapist it will open to find a therapist in your area. they are endorsed and trained by Mr Aaron Mattes the originator of AIS . Best of luck I,m not sure where in jersey that is but Bruce Baltz is in The city. I have worked with Bruce on several occasions he is one of the best AIS practitioners I know And he has been a body work practitioner for 20 plus years.

I've seen "carpal tunnel" symptoms disappear. Most recently a person who has been receiving massages for years, and seeing a hand therapist for carpal tunnel and trigger finger for a year-and-a-half was referred to me. She continued her other therapies as usual, but saw me for 3 weekly AIS sessions.

Based on a detailed intake, I focused on AIS for her shoulders and neck. We worked through most of Mattes' AIS Shoulder and Neck protocols, and I recommended a few stretches to practice at home. On the 2nd and 3rd visits, we saw more progress each time and I would recommend a few more stretches for home practice. Just 3 days after her 3rd AIS session, her hand therapist discharged her, as all "carpal tunnel" and trigger finger symptoms were gone.

I have seen her for a 4th time now, and she continues to show further progress...
Viktor - What does Rossiter have to do with Active Isolated Stretching? If they are not directly related, take your spamming elsewhere. This forum is for AIS discussion, not promotion of other modalities.

sorry for delayed response , I just joined, try finding someone in your area who does Rossiter System workouts, I had great results with people who were already scheduled for surgeries and never really needed them... hope this is getting to you in timely manner even if you have done shots or surgery you might still be able to get back,...
