I would love to be an author, it is a passion of mine since I was age 8 but it hasn't happened yet. Anyone that has any suggestions for me would be sincerely appreciated.

I did not see Karina hiding down there. Guys this book, "Creating Peace with Your Hands" is another one that graduates need. If obtained then and used, it could add years onto someone's career. Great book!

I think that's all I see so far. But remember guys, we aren't just here to push our writing, Liz is giving all of us the opportunity to get the "massage word" out there, through her publications.

Happy writing and reading!

Teaching Massage is an awesome book for anyone considering instructing.
Actually, my college Robin and I will be using it as a guide for our New teacher training program.

Laura's book is awesome too! I also own Mosby's guide to Pathology!
All great info for us!

The first book listed from Susan Salvo was my instruction book in massage school in Florida. I know it too well! I bought her second book when I opened my center, for all my therapists to use, because it was so full of great info. The third book, created by Laura Allen, should be given to every massage therapist as they graduate. I feel about it like I do that babies should come with a munual from the hospital. It is a needed tool.

And the website Laura was speaking of is www.massagenews.org

Massage Therapy: Principles and Practice (writing 4th edition now) and Mosby’s Guide to Pathology for the Massage Therapists (now in it’s second edition), both published by Elsevier.

I am an author and educator having written Massage Therapy: Principles and Practice (writing 4th edition now) and Mosby’s Guide to Pathology for the Massage Therapists (now in it’s second edition), both published by Elsevier.

I contributed a chapter “Geriatric Massage” for Modalities for Massage and Bodywork (Editor: Elaine Stillerman) published by Elsevier.

For the textbook Teaching Massage, produced by the Associated Bodywork Massage Professionals, I contributed the chapter entitled “Teaching Massage to Students with Special Needs” (Editor: Anne Williams) published by Lippincott, Williams, and Wilkins.

For Joe Muscolino’s textbook Muscle and Bone Palpation Manual with Trigger Points, Referral Patterns, and Stretching, (published by Elsevier) Sandy Fritz and I co-wrote “Draping and Basic Massage Strokes.”

This has been the most exciting year ever!

I am almost complete with an online pathology course for massage therapists (15 modules) and Sandy Fritz asked me to help her write two modules for her online course entitled Essential Sciences for Massage Therapists.

I love writing and sharing knowledge with massage therapists!

While on this journey, I’ve met and worked with many amazing people.

I have written articles on numerous bodywork titles for several holistic journals over the last 20 years.

I contribute periodically to Future LMT
and I write course curriculum!

I used to write poetry all the time, perhaps one day I will publish them :)

I am the author of the Plain & Simple Guide to Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork Examinations (2nd ed, LWW, 2009) and One Year to a Successful Massage Therapy Practice (Lww, 2008), and I have a new book, A Massage Therapist's Guide to Business, coming out from LWW next year.

I am a monthly contributor to Massage Magazine's print version with my Spa Technique of the Month column, and have a blog, The Massage Pundit, on the Massage Magazine website at www.massagemag.com.

I also have a regular column, Business Side, in Massage & Bodywork Magazine, and also contribute articles to Mike Hinkle's website, which I was unable to find the exact link to my articles, Mike, so how about throwing that in here.

I am also going to be blogging on the Massage Today website beginning January 4, in their new feature WIBB, Women in Bodywork Business Blog. I'll be alongside Cherie Soehnen-Moe, Ruth Werner, Angie Patrick, and Lisa Curran Parenteau, so I'm in good company.

I just love to write....I'm also a musician and songwriter, an occasional poet, and have self-published one trashy romance novel as an e-book, Affair of the Heart, which I would appreciate anyone spending 6.95 on, as it is buried at the bottom of the non-best seller pile! LOL.

I'm delighted to be a part of this group.

Please visit www.arianainstitute.com/articles.htm to view some of the articles I've written.

My most recent article, "Simplicity," was published in Art Riggs' deep tissue massage newsletter. Here's the URL for that article: http://www.deeptissuemassagemanual.com/pdf/simplicity_ariana_vincent.pdf
