Comment by Boris Prilutsky on April 29, 2012 at 12:30pm Hi Mary.
I am not possessing a deep knowledge in business and marketing, but wouldn't advise to contact MDs and offering free treatment. Not sure if your letter even made to his/her desk.
The best is to call and to ask to talk to office manager. Short and friendly, to introduce yourself as a medical massage practitioner, and to tell, you are having business proposal, and if she/he don't mind you would like to drop it off. Of course you should write nice professional proposal, explaining what you are doing. Today is good time to talk to doctors, because you can reference to studies they will trust.
Following links is to my articles where I am proposing the way to talk to MDs. If you will have additional questions please feel free to post.

PS. Also very recently, a group of scientists from Cedars-Sinai medical Center at Los Angeles conducted
simple but significant studies on effects of a Single Session of Swedish Massage on Hypothalamic–Pituitary–Adrenal and Immune Function in Normal Individuals. In your proposal I would like to recommend to refer MDs to read preliminary study report At national Institute of health Public Access
Author Manuscript. This publication Drs. respect and will read, and will consider you as a medical massage practitioner. Doctors don't like to be lectured, about medicine therefore just briefly explain:”
at this study scientist tried to determine effect of massage on arginine-vasopressin (AVP), adrenal corticotropin hormone (ACTH), cortisol (CORT), circulating phenotypic lymphocytes markers, and mitogen-stimulated cytokine production.
As a result it caused a significant effect size decrease
in AVP, it increased the number of circulating lymphocytes, and much more.
Comment by Mary Campise on April 28, 2012 at 6:12pm Hello Boris
What do you think it would take to get Doctors more involved with Medical Massage? I have wrote letters inviting doctors to get a free session so they can see the quality of work that I do. I have been a Medical Massage Practitioner for almost 15 years and I do not see more doctors going toward massage at all. It is almost disheartrning to know that you have something to offer and you can't find a great place to be. If you have any other ideas on this subject, please share your thoughts. Thank you for your consideration. Mary C.
I'd like to invite you to be listed in my holistic directory. The basic listing is free. You can sign up by using the link below.

I found many goot techniques in your video. You have same staff in russian too?
Comment by Boris Prilutsky on March 27, 2011 at 10:23am Hi Daniel.
I'm really glad that you like idea of links. Utilization of knuckles mostly is for adhesions breakdown purposes. What is really typical to Russian medical and sports massage is that any clinical work have to include deep tissue massage, and 50% of time must be spent on kneading techniques . In protocols of orthopedic and postevent sports massage we "must do" including connective tissue massage/fascia mobilization as well trigger point therapy.you welcome to visit my website www.medicalmassage-edu.com some news staff available.
Thanks for writing.
Best wishes.
Boris
Comment by Daniel Cohen on March 21, 2011 at 11:26pm Thank you Boris for the links. I have started watching them. Is the use of the knuckles, particularly with locked thumbs to work both sides of the spine typical of Russian massage? It is very effective and sound body mechanics. Very nice. I will be viewing all the links as time permits.
Again, thank you.
