Sam, I'm joining the chanting! Stick it to them!

Oh nothing pisses me off worse than working on something on the puter, hitting save and poof it is gone! Glad you did not throw your computer threw the window though, how else would we hear from you? :)

Sam, lots of good advice here. I know that you do not like confrontations, but lady, sometimes you HAVE to stand up for yourself. The process can be a pain in the tush, but you will feel so much better at the end.

Sam--agreed. Nastygram from a lawyer. S/he could put something in there about how the restaurant moving the bench to cover the hole is a "tacit admission of guilt" or somesuch. Just a letter from a lawyer indicates that you have your teeth bared, claws unsheathed, and are ready to fight--which is a lot more than most folks are willing to do. At the very least, write a slightly condescending letter to the insurance company explaining (with diagram) your situation, etc. I had to do that once with a car accident, and the other guy's insurance company capitulated immediately. If that gets no response, then break out the lawyer.

After seeing Sam's posty I just had to log in! I totally agree with Ty...LAWYER! Bull**it! Do you happen to be a member of ABMP, Sam? If so, I bet somebody on their legal staff could give you a consultation at least, and some direction with what your options might be. The restaurant insurance company is doing its job: Screwing the little guy (you.) I should know, my first husband is an insurance litigator. (He was one of those people who studied law to "help" people and totally sold out!) Do it, Do it, Do it!

Gotta run and pick up my daughter and her husband from a wedding reception--and this may crack y'all up after talking tequila so fluently--I'm the designated driver. It's a nice drive, anyhow ~ It's a full moon and beautiful night, hope all of you have been able to check it out!

Congrats Marissa! So happy that things are well with you and baby Moose. Looking forward to pictures.

Marilyn, sounds like you are going to be very busy! Little ones always find something to get into, no matter how 'baby proofed' the space might be. Have fun and enjoy your time with the baby.

I love Ty's 'red' hair. I wish I could pull off any shade of red, my mother is a red head. As for white hair, mine is not a pretty shade of gray or white, it is kinda of a yellow gray. I am very grateful for the bottle! (:

It's not easy being green! Until somebody takes a pic of me, I guess I remain just a bowl of rocks with a tree, it's as good as anything else I can think of ~ my massage logo didn't transfer well (but I love it.) Truth be told, I'm not sure anymore just how white my hair has become...and my stylist is silent on the issue...so it remains the color I grew up with, ash blonde.

Ooh, Ty, I love the red hair! Is it actually the color in the photo, or is that the lighting? Either way, it's gorgeous. Wish I could pull off that shade.

Congratulations, Marissa!!! What wonderful news ~ finally, a shiny, squishy new baby Rowdy! I'm thrilled to know everyone is doing well. We need to celebrate. BTW, good job, Tara...now we know we can trust you with all our secrets. :)

Our resident Grandbaby Rowdy (and companion-moose for Marissa's son) is arriving tonight from Chicago and staying for the weekend. Hope we've sufficiently childproofed, it's been awhile since I've had to worry about all the things a baby can get into...from what I've seen so far, he's a geek and goes for the electronics first...and then there's our cocker who just loves those tasty baby fingers and toes. Then there's my schedule..grandparenting AND working is just wrong somehow. Wish me luck!
