Another method is my Touch of Jade Lymphatic Massage. Based on ancient Chinese methods and modern Western methods the Touch of Jade is easy to do and very effective.

Hello everyone - I am planning to take CE courses on MLD and wanted to see if anyone had thoughts regarding the class offered by the LMT Success Group. They are offering a course here in Seattle and, before signing up, wanted to see if anyone had anything to say about the training. Thank you!

I haven't been able to bill for full LyE treatment as an CMT. You may have to work in a clinic under a PT for that (?). But I do bill 97140 (LDT, Myofascial Release) and 97124 (massage therapy) for Motor Vehicle Accidents, Personal Injury and Worker's Comp insurance as long as I have a script from an M.D. or D.C.

I am a CMT in CA, also certified as a Lymphedema Therapist.. I understand I can not bill insurance. I can do MLD work either on private pay, or under the direction of a PT, or OT. Any comments? This was kept from us during training. Can I work in a clinic or hospital setting? Or have to work offsite as a Freelancer?

Could be parasitic? I would encourage you to pose the question to the medical director of the Klose center or have the clients Doctors contact her:

Have a new client with a puzzling condition. Docs don't know what's up. Three months of lower extremity edema, severe leg weakness, abdominal cavity bloating, lack of appetite w/ subsequent severe wt loss, easy bruising...anyone seen this before??

In response to Janet question about the difference between MLD and LDT. My understanding is MLD is a strict protocol...so many pumps in each location done in exact order etc. LDT is not a protocol. You can work in micro areas and not have to do an entire quadrant. LDT stresses following the flow, whereas MLD dictates the flow whether that is where the lymph is naturally going or not. And LDT teaches us how to feel the direction, depth and amplitude of the flow.

I have searched on line and in textbooks to find references - chronic lyme and LDT therapy. I added a little into each session - my client does not have Herx reactions after a massage.
