Hi Gina - what a great way to learn Lomilomi! I love hearing about MT's who go to Thailand to study Thai Massage, or to India to study Ayurveda, or to Hawaii to study Lomilomi (and so on)! There is no better way to learn than in an authentic environment. If you want to email me the flyer, I would be happy to post it here for you.

Hi Jennifer -- Actually, I did find LiddleKidz via a Google search and have contacted them.  They are going to be in LA next Spring, so I really hope to attend this workshop!  Congrats(!) to you and all the best in your new endeavor working with children with special needs.  I suspect that you will have your share of challenges, but also many rewards.  :)

Joyce, as far as the children go, check out http://www.liddlekidz.com/.  I recently attended class with Tina Allen here in Kansas City, and earned "Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist"  (just graduated and passed the MBLEx and am waiting for my MO license to arrive to finalize it), dealing with children with Autism and special needs.  -- Jen

Great, Joyce! I love that you want to work with children. Bodywork is really effective with them - such open and receiving clients.

Hi Erin,

Thanks -- Look forward to reading and sharing posts re MT.  Just had a class about MT business, and my assignment for next time is to design a business card as well as a workplace for myself--all speculative of course, since I'm still in school. :)  Would appreciate some resources to investigate for ideas--especially the room design.  My current thinking is to work with children and adults, and also incorporate my aromatherapy training.  Any thoughts are welcome!  :)
