As a researcher and writer on self-care, injury prevention and ergonomics for massage therapists, I'm very happy to join this group. I'm always interested in furthering research in the profession, and applaud the Foundation for the great work it does! If there is a need for consultation or peer-review in my areas of expertise, please don't hesitate to call on me. Best regards, Lauriann Greene, CEAS, Save Your Hands!, www.saveyourhands.com

Both as an individual and in my role as co-chair (with John Balletto) of the Foundation's Best Practices Committee I'm happy to see this group as and additional means of bring more visibility to the Foundation's efforts.

More background on the Best Practices Committee's work on developing a process for creating advisory guidelines and filing them with the National Guidelines Clearinghouse can be found in our first report paper in the Foundation's open-access, peer-reviewed web-based journal.

I'm happy to be a member of this group. I went to the web site and found the following information about the Massage Therapy Foundation:
"We believe in massage therapy and bodywork. We are therapists, educators, members of professional organizations, vendors who sell supplies, and massage and bodywork clients. We support the Massage Therapy Foundation with our hearts and dollars, donating to promote the knowledge and understanding of massage. The Massage Therapy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity, advances the profession through community service projects, research, and education." Warmly, Ariana Vincent, Ariana Institute, www.arianainstitute.com
