Thanks to a FANTASTIC group of California therapists who

Hi Stan,
The key to utilizing the Groupons to expose your practice to new clients is to make sure you don't just get people looking for a cheap massage. Make sure the massage you offer still requires them to have to pay more than your average chain spa. This way you get perspective qualified clients! Also try to have a specialty! Offer your specialty and show why you are different!

Hi everyone!

My employer is interested in doing a Groupon deal for reflexology and is giving me the option of particpating. The service will be deeply discounted and I will make very little money. The ad will run for two weeks and the coupon expires in six months. I'd like to know your experience with this marketing strategy. I'm new to this workplace and would appreciate your feedback on whether to participate; and if I do, how to make sure that all these coupon holders are not sent my way.I want to ensure that the coupon holders are distributed evenly amont the participating therapists. Thanks!

@ Dave, Hi Dave! I really liked your post about energetic marketing. I do chakra balancing and I have been trying to come from the heart chakra and creating a loving, healing environment when performing all bodywork. I focus on holding a feeling of unconditional love for the client and honoring the divine spark in everyone. It makes a difference!

I had a great time at BizFit Live last weekend in NJ. I learned a lot and got some really good ideas. The energy in the room was so positive and encouraging. It's been a long time since I was around that many bodyworkers and I miss the comraderie and good vibes. I just upgraded my cell phone to a smart phone so I can take credit cards. I also ordered the Biofreeze gel sample cards cards customized with my business name and website and distributed them at a fitness walking group kick-off. My next step is to create my business facebook page and link it my website. I'm excited about all the possibilities!

Therapists from a record-breaking 8 different states came together to make the
Cherry Hill, NJ ABMP BizFit Workshop

an absolutely incredible experience!

Thanks to everyone for bringing (and sharing) your inspiration, creativity, and passion for what you do!  The community that was created that day will motivate all of us as we continue to build our practices as active business owners.  :-)

I look forward to hearing from you as you implement some new ideas!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas, David!

I love the idea of "energetic marketing."  Good for you to turn things around and bring clients to you when you've got a lull in your client flow - fantastic!
