Working in massage- pitfalls- please respond!

I'm looking for a forum, but in the meantime, I want to post a quickie highlighting some of my concerns about working in massage.



a) pros/cons of forming a massage therapy union which could only be run by working massage therapists. I live in Illinois, land of the corrupt, and don't think that the folks who are running our networks, schools, boards, are hands-on enough in massage to understand the potential pitfalls of this work. Hi Carma welcome to the community I did not realize that you just became a member before I posted my comment on the union so hope you find this site as informed and interesting as I do also it is not just the spas that there pay is low but working at a chiropractic office is not as much pay as it should be the one I work for charges the insurance the difference from the ones who pay cash but I don't see any of that I get paid the same so be careful out there when you are looking for a job and how it pays 35% is a lot compared to a flat pay check by the hour.
