Suboccipitals - Tips & Techniques

by Erik Dalton Ph.D., founder of Freedom From Pain Institute®

There are only a few places where the nervous system can be properly tuned, and these “adjusting knobs” are the bones that directly attach to the dura mater. Faulty alignment or fixations in any bone of the cranial vault or spine will over stretch, torsion, deform or drag on the dural membrane, disrupting its…

Great workshop in Providence, RI

The whole Dalton Gang is in Providence this weekend for a workshop. Having a great time... just a few workshops left in 2010. Next stop Seattle, then on to Richmond, Tucson and the grand finale of the Blue Collar Tour in Austin, TX. Been a very busy 2010 workshop tour. Slowing it down a little in 2011 with only 4 strategically located workshops here in the U.S. and adding a second workshop in Costa Rica... Spring and again in the fall. Will announce locations and dates soon.… Continue

Are Long Legs Really Better?

According to Herman Pontzer, Ph.D (Journal of Experimental Biology), fossil records show that 2 million yrs. ago, human leg length suddenly began to increase...presumably to conserve energy during long distance travel. Pontzer's model predicts the rate of energy use related to limb length, i.e., longer legs = less force production = lower energy cost.

To test his equation, Pontzer put people, dogs and goats on a…

Hi Erik, these DVDs will certainly bring a new opportunity to my practice, I live in a small town, where therapist only concentrate on relaxation massage & Spa treatments, which is good and is something that I do as well, but no one really does any corrective work as I call it, so I will hit jackpot once I learn this technique :)

Dear Erik - re the obliquity/pain/rib dysfunction question, surely you are aware of the relationship? Maybe you're just asking a Dorothy Dixer. My views on that particular subject are in a paper coming to LA in November, encompassing also a link to ductal carcinoma. There you go . . you've been teased back!

Thx for the kind words David but the real success story lies with the energy you and the "meet-up' volunteers have donated to this project. Four hundred and fifty five members is an astounding accomplishment in this economy....congrats my friend!

Hi Erik, your devotion to the education of massage therapists in Las Vegas has helped build this networking group to be over 455 members strong - THANK YOU so much for stopping in during your TakeMyRegistration.com-scheduled course while you were in Vegas last year. You were a BIG hit, and the members and I really appreciate the 'extra' time you dedicate to the massage therapy industry. Here's to your continued success with your "Blue Collar Tour" in 2010 - Well Wishes, David

Vegas group is VERY active! Meetups are being planned months in advance, with plenty of group sponsors and CEU opportunities. You should visit again, we have a much larger attendance rate. Boris is coming out again shortly, Biofreeze people were just here, too. David Otto is doing a fantastic job as Organizer.
