"Hi Daniel.  I can understand why having two different bodywork licenses causes confusion.  The current system came about due to a political process.  The result has advantages and disadvantages.  Which way the scale tips depends…"

"If they wind up not accepting the CE's, my school has a 40 hour A&P course that the state will definitely accept, but hopefully they will accept the CE as that will be a lot easier and cost effective.  Hope you get your license soon!"

Hey Kevin.  Nice to meet you.  I friends in Manchester NH that are part of the MTBW community.  I'm going to see if they're on this site.  May I pass on your name to them?

Be well.

Thanks, Kevin. I think I'm in favor of licensure. But I want to finish reading the application under consideration before stating a public opinion about it! I will be attending the meeting next Friday, though! :)

Yes Kevin. It was nice to meet you as well on Saturday. I am glad you had steady work throughout the day showing people the great benefits of massage therapy.

I would love to get a chance to talk to you more. Will you be attending the OPR Sunrise Public Hearing in Montpelier?

Take care,
Chris

Yes we have had an "interesting" time of it. The latest was a political battle we won against the California Police Chiefs Association. If you like you can look at the facebook campaign against AB 1822 that I ran. http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=117470371615976.

Before we won SB731 which is private organization certification recognized by the state that expires in 2016 we had several unsuccessful tries at state licensing. These pitted MTs against AMA, ACA, schools, and many religious groups.

Since we have a expiration clause, we expect to have a hard battle in 2015.
