IL CEU's for the World Massage Conference

I am wondering if anyone has used the CEU's offered by the world massage conference for their requirements, if so did you submit all the ceu's using one out of state form? I'm also wondering which name to use on the form, since they are all signed by Eric Brown and another gentleman, Scott (can't make out his last name)? HElp! I'm running out of time, and have looked everywhere for these answers since last month!

Be Santa - It's that time of year.

My 10-year-old son is at the stage where his concern over Santa Claus’ existence is reaching a boiling point. He knows what he hears in school, but he also knows what he wants to believe. When he asked me about the jolly old elf, I...

The Power of Language

"You're guarding," she said. From my position lying on the massage table draped in sheets, I most certainly was not guarding. We were in a class, and I'd just gotten through explaining that I have a problem with my left hip, a congenital malformation. The femur head doesn't sit correctly in the socket and so moving my left leg when the bone locks into place -- something I can't control -- can sometimes be an experience. From my perspective I was relaxed, not holding back, and most… Continue

Dog hip problems and horse back pain: animal massage on-line classes

Hi Folks,

I'm in the process of launching on-line classes, one on the topic of back pain in horses

and the other on helping dogs with hip problems (pain and or weakness).

These are intended primarily for lay folks who love their animals,

but may be of interest to many of you professionals as well.

But if you'd like to get the deal I'm offering…

Transparency

Transparency, when defined in the context of non-profit organizations and public boards, implies that said organizations are accountable to those they represent, that meetings and communications are open, that full financial disclosures are made public, and that all business practices are an open book. It’s an ethical obligation.

I’ve recently posted on my blog my second annual series of reports on the financial health of the non-profit organizations…

Ways for Massage Therapists to Keep Their Practice Fresh and Massage Clients Happy

Whether you have your own massage practice or are working as an employee in a spa or other professional setting, it is important to make a good first impression and then continue that reliable service each and every time you massage your clients. These data provide an overview of the current state of the massage therapy profession, public and… Continue
