I hear through the grapevine that the Nevada State Board of Massage Therapists has voted to terminate their agency's membership in the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. I’ve spent the past couple of weekends teaching at AMTA meetings; first in SC and this past week in Alaska. One of the classes I taught at both meetings was “Using Research to Market Your Massage Therapy Practice.” I’ve been on my research soapbox for a while now. The big question is, “Who gives a flip about research?” My answer to that is, inquiring minds want to know.

This past week the North Carolina Board of Massage & Bodywork Therapy, of which I am a member, held our annual elections. Last weekend, at our state chapter meeting of AMTA, we had those board elections, and the national AMTA has also just released their ballots and candidate bios.
