In addition to helping boost productivity, corporate massage in the workplace can aid in the prevention of workplace injuries. One of the biggest complaints from workers is…
What’s cluttering your life? Is it the stuff in the corner of the bedroom, or the stuff in the corner of your mind? What are you tolerating that keeps you from expressing your true self? Authors Bruce and Lou Stewart say that clutter–both in our environment and our mind–is stagnating, blocking the free-flow of energy, or chi, in our homes and lives. Whether…
Did you know that chronic pain plagues more Americans than cancer, diabetes, and heart disease combined? If not, now you do. Not only is chronic pain common, it is an American epidemic, racking up as much as $635 billion dollars annually in healthcare costs. Break that down to a more manageable number, and that’s about $2,000 for EVERY inhabitant of the United…
SV: “So…Alphabiotics? If I had never heard of it or had no experience

The statistics are alarming. The majority of U.S. women–some estimate more than 80 percent–are unhappy with their appearance. At least 10 million young women, and 1 million young men have an eating disorder. Girls as young as 6 and 7 are expressing disapproval of their looks, and most fourth-grade girls are already diet veterans. Most unsettling is the fact that more women, and girls, fear…

Health care is on the minds of most people, whether they have it, need it, or don't have the right policy due to financial infeasibility, to acquire or maintain it. Unfortunately when it comes to health, if you don't invest in it now, you pay for it later, as the investment of our bodies seem to yield higher rates of health issue returns to our lives as we age. As it stands now, preventative health is not recognized under most health insurance policies unless it comes… Continue
Harvest is upon us again. It is a time to gather and take in the bounty of our labors. It is also a time of reflection, a time to look within and assess our needs; to take inventory and appreciate what we have. In the medical community and with the reminders in the media, we realize it is also cold and flu season, a time when we can deplete our immune system. When this happens not just the individual suffers but all those around them do also.
As a society we have been informed of… Continue
Have you ever been told by your massage therapist after receiving a massage to drink plenty of water? You may ask yourself, ''Why is this"?
The body is mostly composed of fluids. The skin holds the fluids in as well as holding other structures together - like a body suit. Well, here we are preparing for the Holidays. Whether you observe the Holidays or not the fact remains IT IS COLD OUTSIDE. I really enjoy this time of the year, the leaves change and fall, the snow falls and you feel a slight chill in the air, the only thing I'm not a fan of is the sloppy weather and reckless drivers or better yet the unskilled driver.
As we prepare for the season you notice that you have drier skin, your lips begin to chap, your muscles are tighter than…
