I use GNC's Whey Protein in milk every morning for breakfast. I've had a protein shake of some variety for breakfast for something like 14 years. I like protein!! I've been recommending Greek yogurt to people lately for its high protein content, and it really tastes good.

It seems to me that this idea that we aren't supposed to eat meat is an unhealthy denial of human nature, and a complete lack of understanding of the science of how we work. It's one thing to be a vegetarian or promote it because a person believes that eating meat is somehow morally objectionable. But I've seen attempts to actually claim that we were never supposed to eat meat. Seems like more revisionist history! And I doubt that my canines are there to help with vegetables! :)

I concur, though I have posted this blog a number of other places on the internet and there are many folks who have disagreed. They WANT people to have a more direct connection to what they eat, hoping this removal of the degree of separation will make one not want to eat meat. Me...I like who I am and what I eat. I would simply prefer a different name.

One of my clients recently told me that she just figured out that meat is muscles from animals! She new that it came from animals, of course, but the concept of it being muscle was new to her. She felt kind of silly!

I think they should have come up with something different than Teres major. I'm a carnivore too (omnivore I suppose!) but a cut of meat called the name of the muscle makes me feel a bit queasy! Like you, it removes that degree of separation that keeps things more…
