I would like to work completely y independent out of my home office. Currently I work in a chiropractic clinic where I reserve a lot of my time, but (as I work mornings) I do not get enough work to keep me going.
Please let me know what the best way to find more clients is and how to avoid the wrong people showing up on my doorstep??

Hello fellow NP grad! First things first, get a website. Make it legit. Second, join merchantcircle.com and get on the local businesses for google and yahoo. It's easy to do and does not cost a thing. Make everything scream THERAPEUTIC. Have as many friends and clients as you can get write reviews on those sites. And always do screening calls the night before. This way you can weed out the "undesirables". You may want to offer referral discounts for your regulars. That way they spread the word and new clients will be from someone you know. It makes them a little bit accountable. If after the screening call you still feel like there may be something off do one of 2 things. Not book or make sure there is another adult in the home with you.
