Well...Putting my rowdy side behind a heavy filter for a minute, Tara, some of the things that work for me when I get unbalanced are medication (OOPS--I meant mediTation--really! But I''ve left it, my Guides have a sense of humor and I have to respect that.) Breathe. If you need to be physical like me, yoga is very useful, so is dancing. Anything can be useful for "balancing & centering" ~ music you can lose yourself in, for example. Then let your mind stay quiet and develop the recognition of being there so you can return at will when you find yourself out of sorts. I keep Rescue Remedy on hand too; and doing Reiki on myself helps the most. As Ty's piece also states, you aren't alone..so remember to allow yourself to be supported and loved by all sentient beings. A simple, quick thing you can do is to place your palms & fingertips together in the "prayer" position ~ this is very good for balancing yourself & you'll notice a difference immediately. Hope all this doesn't sound too preachy, you probably know about most of it already. Good luck. :)

Okay, filter off now... Scream, but try not to scare the neighbors. It's a great reality check, on so many levels.

Hi Tara and welcome. I usually try a couple of glasses of wine and some laughter with good friends to rid me of some bad energy. :) (but then again...this IS the rowdy group)

Does anyone have any ideas for balancing one's self? I read all the comments about the smudging and found them to be quite interesting. I feel some bad energy going on inside of me lately and need to change it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Liiisaa! You are missed, try to get back more often. Hope all is well with you & yours.

Ty, big guns may actually work--a gasp can be likened to a deep breath, right? Gets 'em breathing real fast, tho, so I always go back to the two shots of tequila-- still works for just about any situation and tends to put everyone in a meditative state. ;)
Donna, you have lots of tools for next time...feel free to add tequila to restore you nerves, or maybe offer some to the church people! You can be the "Hostess with the mostess' " and probably more well-known than you care to be.. Did you get martial arts training when you were in school? It was mandatory at ours...I certainly hope you never need to resort to that, however!

Just checking to see if anybody has heard from Marissa yet...

It's raining here and I have to do some sewing, so I guess this is a good day for it. Had one appointment this morning, but there were contraindications so we decided to postpone it. Shoulda stayed in bed this morning! R.I.P Jimi Hendrix...I'd love to know what existential material he would have these days.

Hi Rowdies. Just checking in to see how everyone is and if we have a mini Rowdy to add to our group yet. :) Marissa...I hope you are doing well and everyone is healthy and strong.

I have lots to read up on with the Rowdies so I can't really comment on anything yet. Although in skimming through my eye caught a glimpse of chocolate and chocolate martinis. :) it must be the diet i'm on.

I've been really busy and had a very interesting client a week ago. but i'm a bit beat so I will have to save it for another day.

Glad to see you guys are keeping the spirit alive!!

Just checking in to see if there was news from Marissa...so Thanks (and welcome!) to Tara. It's always nice to have another voice at the party.
Now that I hear the sea salt mentioned, I remember hearing about it years ago. Incidently, does anybody have a source for sweet grass?

Seems I'm having one of those days when I'm giving remedials to people on how to meditate--or just breathe. Judging from my schedule, the clients who usually need to be reminded how it's done all seem to be coming in in the next few days. Maybe it's faulty planet positioning? :)

Erica, now that you have mentioned mountains, I miss Alaska again.

Sam--it was rainy on the way out, and I kinda went through the Ozarks before I realized it. I remember thinking to myself, "Oh these are some pretty hills!" Guess my concept of "mountains" is a little spoiled by the Chugach Range, Denali, and the Rockies.

I thought about posting something (in a couple of different places, really), but only had two days to organize massage & food stuff for the festival--things were a little insane 'round here. Next time!

Donna--did he GRAB you someplace he shouldn't, or just mob you for a hug? For clearing, sprinkling sea salt water around doorways and windows after smudging is good, too.

Wow, Donna I hope that never happens to me, quite a scary incident... I have come to enjoy sage, a friend gave me some when I was having a stressful day and it really helped to clear my mind.
As far as Marissa...she is in the hospital I think, I am awaiting her text to tell me the moose has arrived.. =)

Donna ~ Just to add a couple more options, there's also lavender essential oil...several drops in distilled water in a spray bottle can do minor space cleansing too...maybe it's the disinfectant properties ;) At least it would be suitable for the table itself. If you can find sprigs to place around, that's good too. Clear natural crystals absorb negative energy; Lithium rocks can absorb psychotic energy, I'm told. For major ick I always use Ty's technique, but in a pinch, even a little windchime noise will break up the energy in the space quite nicely..or grab a didgeridoo if you need a big gun, it sure worked at the WMF. So sorry to hear you got grabbed, that's scary especially considering he works around your place sometimes. Yup, that would up the creepy factor.

Chocolate cures everything! I never thought of it as grounding since I get rather euphoric on it myself, especially if it comes from the little French bakery a few miles down the road! I will swear to the healing properties, however. Chinese noodles can also do the trick. Horseback riding is my most favorite grounding method so if that's still an option for you... Hope you have a great day today!

Hope we hear from Marissa soon! :)

I am wondering if we have a new Rowdy yet?

Ok guys, I surrender...I just rescheduled my appointment for tomorrow to Monday. The macho guy got a little too macho today and grabbed me. I pushed him away and nothing happened. I very rarely hug anyone and had an uncomfortable feeling Tuesday when he hugged me. But this was unexpected still. The man does work for us around the house for crying out loud!

I have dealt with this type of thing my whole life working on the track and it pisses me off, but I usually try and knock their head off with my deadly backhand and brush it off, it was over, it didn't stay with me. But today kind of freaked me out. This was my room, my space and the asshole thought that because I was "touching" him he had the right? Needless to say, he will never step foot back on the place again.

Ty, I think you are right, there is some funky energy in my room and around me. Advice on smudging? Right now I feel like taking Clorox to everything in the room, it feels dirty and dark. As for me, I just need a few days to clear my mind and ground. What a week!
