HI Kris,

Thanks for the add. I'm returning to the field of Bodywork and looking at the various options available since I began practicing in "88". Trying to assemble everything I know and package it for myself and others. Looking forward to networking with ya

Hi Kris, no intrusion, just found this site last nite, am still learning the ropes of social media sites. Still learning all this tech stuff too. Not my forte. A pleasure to read your comments, sounds like you've been doing this awhile. I look forward to chatting with you.

Most people are unconcious as to the abilities of an experienced massage therapist with over 25 years experience.. They have not a clue. Or they would hire you on the spot... Think about it... And they are in the industry? At some levels, the whole perception of massage is distorted in both the spa industry as much as in the medical industry.

Hi Kris, Not an intrusion. I just discovered this site and became fascinated with a thread about how the Massage/Bodywork profession is perceived by the general public and other health professionals. It's a subject about which I have much to say. As one who has been doing this work for over 25 years but who just finally jumped through the hoops for the license I am experiencing a very rude awakening as to the realities of this field as a business and as a profession. I shall expand my thoughts as time goes on. I especially welcome the input of successful male MTs as I am discovering that obtaining bread and butter work in this field may not be in my cards. Spas and health clubs are not even responding to my resume, or if they do then it doesn't even progress to the practical part of working on someone to experience my skills. Thanks for connecting!
