Which online scheduling works better for your clients--Schedulicity or GenBook?

I am curious to see how many therapists are utilizing online booking companies to enhance their businesses! Have you used these companies or another one? Have you had a good or bad experience? Most importantly, how do your clients like the "convenience" of booking appointments themselves?

Tried Schedulicity for a while, but had a problem that never got fixed. I was told that it was going to be looked into but never received an e-mail or phone call, this was back in April? That's why I went to web-appointments.com, better customer service, easy to use site, clients like it and lower cost.

Just wanted to respond to your statement above.  Our records show that you had concerns about not showing up in the portal search results as well as the way start times were displaying for your appointments.  2 separate emails were sent to you regarding those separate questions as well as a follow up email checking in with you to see if the previous suggestions had resolved those specific issues.  I can forward all emails to you if you wish.  If there's something else I may be missing, please let me know and I will look into it immediately.

We're extremely proud of our customer service and we take our clients' satisfaction very seriously.  Please feel free to see what our 36,000 fans say about our product and our service on our FB page.

If there's anything I can do to help you in the future, please feel free to contact me directly at michael@schedulicity.com

All the best

Michael,

I don't know what your intent was with your comments but it sure makes me glad that I didn't use your company.  It really makes you sound like an A..  It is one thing to apologize publicly like that but to put out the dirty laundry with details of the situation makes you seem like a real jerk.

My intent was not at all to air dirty laundry as the issues mentioned above had everything to do with us - not him.  The only reason I mentioned them was to show him that we were aware of those issues and that we did respond.  That he did not receive the responses is something else all together that we'll be looking in to.

I sincerely apologize to you and to Don for not being more thoughtful in the original response.  That was not at all my intent.

Sincerely

Michael Wilson

I would like a scheduler that allows every 10 minute slots option and also has easy to use client reviews that post for others to see. Any takers? Thanks!
I now use FullSlate, which allows me to embed a widget directly into the landing page on my website. I like it a lot even though it is more limited in functionality than the other two online booking apps I've used in the past: I used MindBody for about a year and SpaBooker for two.

Genbook has auto-collected and published Customer Reviews and 15-Minute Scheduling increments. Try Genbook on a 30-Day Free trial and a 15% Lifetime Discount (click here: http://gbk.me/r/V7IX2XHO).

Before investing any money for online scheduling service ask your clients if they would use it. Make sure it will work for both you the clients, if the clients don't like it they might not use it and you are just tossing money out the window.

One last point if cost is a factor, make sure the number of clients using the on line scheduling service will cover your cost for having it. Most on line scheduling services have a free trial period so I would suggest you do a Google search and check them out.

Hopes this helps.

Be well

I would respectively add that 'how much' a system costs should not be your main or deciding factor.

Don makes a great point about polling your clients to see how may will use it. No doubt, in most areas you will find that a certain percentage will. It all depends on your the demographics of your client base. We see that the practices that work at educating their clients to use online scheduling will top out at about 70% of their appointments scheduled online.

Non-the-less, the bottom-line is your bottom-line, and as a baseline, what you are trying to do is improve your 'inquiry response' processes. Therefore, what you are trying to do is make it easy, effective and efficient for anyone wanting to spend money with you (book an appointment, buy a gift certificate) to do that the way they find at that moment to be the easiest, most effective and efficient way for them.
So, if they want to call, make sure their call is answered the first time they call and processed to meet their needs. If they want to schedule online, then give them a way to do that easily from your web site and Facebook page.
No matter what system you choose, the phone is still going to ring. If you are not having it answered on a client's the first attempt to spend money with you.... you are loosing out on new revenue opportunities each and every month.

Hi there,

I have been using Genbook for about 7 months now and LOVE it!!!  I feel that it's one of the best business decisions I've made....and the most affordable.  My clients love it.  It's very easy for people to use.  There's no more frustrating phone tag for clients trying to book.  My appointments have increased since I started with the online booking system.  People can book 24/7, and they do!!  You get an instant text message to your phone the second someone books with all the pertinent info. So many of my clients are in front of the computer all day long, it's easy for them to hop online and schedule an appointment rather than waiting to call me and get the machine and deal with phone tag.

Michael this looks like a wonderful tool to use! A couple of questions...

1 - is it free? If not, how much?

2 - Is it easy to set up if you're not a business but rather a solo LMT looking to get clients?

Hi

My name is Michael Wilson and I'm the Director of New Media for Schedulicity.  I just wanted to reach out and offer to answer any questions or help in any way, if necessary.  I also wanted to send along a pic of what your clients receive when they schedule with you through Schedulicity.

They get their own home page where they can see and manage all their upcoming appointments with your business; as well as:

1)  Cancel and Reschedule with you as long as their outside of the cancellation parameters that you select

2)  Add their appointments to their Google, iCal or Outlook calendars if they organize their life that way

3)  A google map to your business, in case they've never been.

4)  The ability to recommend your business to all their friends on Facebook (HUGE) with a link that will take their friends to your online scheduling page; and

5)  The ability to rebook from a past appointment by just clicking on the 'Book again' link.

Just wanted to make sure you knew what your clients would be seeing/getting.

Please let me know if I can help.

Kindest regards,

Michael Wilson
