I am interested in trying some type of oil that behaves like Jojoba but is less costly. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

Try Rice Bran Oil, as far asI know there is nothing quite like jojoba and now there is a world wide shortage.

Okay...how many massages do you think you get from 1 gallon of oil.

100? More?

It makes more sense to use quality products than to make concessions that only amount to a few cents per massage.

I do skin care and body treatments - the product cost per treatment is often $5-$20.  I never cut corners.

Agreed, the cost per massage is small. I continue to use jojoba. Buy larger quantities to get per ounce savings. I buy by the gallon and probably use about half ounce or less for most of my massages.

Although jojoba is more expensive I believe it's easier on the sheets, so you'll go through them less often. I too buy it by the gallon AND it has a longer shelf life. The world wide shortage was due to a hard frost in Israel (if I remember correctly) last year, however, when I talked with the manufacturer recently, they said they'd have more at their next harvest and we should have normal supply by the end of the year. I just love it because it's as close to the skin's natural oil production as is made and, after a massage, you don't feel the need to rinse off afterward. Jojoba can be less costly if you don't opt for organic; they offer pesticide free as well.

www.jojobacompany.com has incredible prices for a great product!!

Thanks for the link, Stacy.  I was going to ask about recommended companies/websites to check out. :)

I use refined sesame oil offered by Banyan Botanicals.  Love it.
