massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

Hi everyone! I'm new here and just had a question I hope someone can answer! I've been looking all over the web for the last few days and can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for. In Ohio, are there laws regarding having a massage office in your home? Like do you need a separate entrance, bathroom, etc? I have a spare room that would be perfect for a treatment room and it seems like it'd be so nice to work from home! Thanks in advance for any help you can give, I really appreciate it!

Check your local business ordinance for home business.
Regulations regarding home offices can be found in your local city/municipal codes. Most codes are available on-line or you could ask when you apply for your business license. Also check your local zoning regulations and home owner association/condo documents (if applicable) to see if this type of home business is allowed in your community.

Where in Ohio are you? I'm in Lakewood (Cleveland). I do some work out of my home but I don't have a home office per se.
