so currently i have a couple of sets of twin sheets, and a couple of sets of massage sheets i got through school. i love the ones through school in that they fit the table perfectly. however, any time i've looked at the various massage supply web sites, all the sheets i ever see are basic colors and tend to be very light in tone. BLAH. my twin sheets are great because they have a pattern to them and i love that. but they are just a little too big for the table and sometimes can be problematic when the client turns over.

are there any places out there with more interesting choices for massage table sheets?

aren't the ones at massagewarehouse the typical plain light colored ones? any rich warm patterns?
Every industrial sheet set I have encountered are rather on the "understatement" side Lisa. What kind of table do you use? If you are using a portable, you can use 2 flat sheets, tucking the edges of the bottom sheet inbetween the legs which keeps it taught. If you are using a fitted twin, I found that using the sheet "bungee clips" (how I like to refer to them) keeps the bottom sheet fairly stable. Another option is to add a very thick table pad under the bottom sheet. These tend to help the bottom sheet stay in place.

I can understand wanting to express yourself in the sheets you choose. My recomendation is to make sure the style of sheet doesn't clash with the decor of your room. This is why industrial sheets are so muted I think.

Peace
I am with you. I love patterned sheets. So do my clients. I cruise places like Pottery barn. When they go on sale they really go on sale. Patterned sheets and flannel make someone feel just a little bit more special. Also try the weird little things sold at places like ollies and sometimes the supermarket. they grip both ends of the sheet and snug it up to the table. you will need 4, one for each corner.
Thanks for the input everyone. so who's gonna be ingenius and start a line of massage table sheets for the designer in mind? :) i think we'd have a killing!! :)

not to worry Gerry about the decor matching. i'm a graphic designer by first trade so i got that covered. :)

but yes... Mary Ellen...i do think clients like that extra personal touch. plus i like to have more masculine sheets for men. plus i think i good pattern also hides some of the oil stains we get over time.
I do not use fitted sheets anymore, haven't since school! Yuk, hate 'em. I love wamsutta at Bed and Bath, the wrinkle free are particularly my favorites :) Only flat sheets for me. Try it see what you think :)
This is the time of year I troll for sheet sales. I am fine with regular twin sized sheet sets as I use the pillowcases for bolster sleeves and arm rest covers. Found a great buy at JC Penny yesterday, nice, thick, solid colored flannels for 70% off which brought them to $11.99. Thought I would share as I am pretty sure JCPenny is everywhere.
I also would like to suggest that when your sheets become too worn to use with clients but still have some life in them, my local women's shelter and the animal shelter are always thrilled with them.

Happy New Year All.
I typically shop at discounted stores for my sheets. ie Marshal's, TJ Max, Ross.. I can usually find Twin flannel sheet for as low as 6 dollars for a set ( fitted botton, top, and pillow case. I use all the pillow cases for face cradles and breast drapes. I always use lotion blends in my sessions so washing them is easy..I dont have the oil smell after a few months, and they are so inexpensive I can rotate and buy new sheets every 3 or 4 months.
