Language barriers
So aside from having my own private business, I also work at a resort where we see a large variety of clients. To many of them, English is their secondary language. I had a client yesterday who spoke little to no English. This happens alot and I was thinking, wouldn't it be nice if there was a book or website specific to different professions with translations? Yes I know I could go online and check translations but I come across many different languages and I also work 7 days a week, I simply do not have time for this. So does anyone possibly know of a book or website that may have this? It would be great to be prepared for client intake, figuring out exactly what they want/need, explaining the service and how to get on the table, etc.

Sign language is often a choice. Also you could learn several phrases related to your practices in a few internationally spoken languages when you have some spare time. German, French, Spanish are spoken widely across the globe.

Have you tried smart phone apps (ipad as well). Some apps will show the human body and allow you /client to simply point where pain occurs. Another helpful app is Google translate that can help you on the spot and translate the native language to English.

Yep, Apps are also a very good idea. Thanks for the tip Neal. I know a guy who develops Android apps. I'll ask him if he could make such a massage specific app.
