There is still some room in next months Ashiatsu class in San Antonio! Come learn a great body-saving technique and dish out a deep tissue session painlessly. (for you and your clients!)

I've just scheduled a new intro level aromatherapy CEU class, plus a low cost women's aromatherapy event, both in November. Also, Aromaceuticals will be participating in the FREE Girls' Night Out women's health festival at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. Please visit the website for more details...

My advice is to start the process before you move, if you want to start working upon arrival.  http://www.dshs.state.tx.us/massage/default.shtm.  Hopefully things have improved since Oct. 2005, when I first applied for my license.  Back then, they only required 300 hours of education.  I graduated massage school with 712 hours, had over 125 CEU's, exceeded the required hours in every category, was already nationally certified and licensed in Illinois...  And yet I had to deal for several months with the same fellow at DSHS telling me that I didn't have the required educational hours, until the owner of my massage school had to call and set them straight.  Hopefully he either learned how to do his job, or moved on to another profession that he could actually manage competently...

Hello Austin LMT's!

I am moving to your hood in July 2011 and will be transferring my license over from another state (OR) and I'm wondering if anyone knows the ballpark time frame it takes to do so? I'm really looking forward to the move and being in the Austin community~

Thanks, for your help~

I plan to be attending ACC(north ridge) in the fall. Wondering what is a good spa in that area for a relocating massage therapist to work and grow?
