I appreciate clients that value your service and time: a) they don't cancel at the last minute and 2) arrive on time for their appt. 3) send referrals! :-)

A client that communicates their needs and expectations at the start of the session rather than the end, a client that realizes some issues takes time and a proper treatment plan to fully address the problem and a client with good hygiene.

Thank you for your replies, Dawn and Robert!

Clients who remain responsive to the therapist when he needs input.  Alas, some zonk out at the start of the session even though their stated reason for scheduling was a specific pain issue.  In that case, I suspect that reaction is caused by an endorphin flood in reaction to compression of a tender point (aka "trigger point").

Because I was blessed with exceptional sensitivity in my fingertips, 99% of the time I can continue to  find and release the offending trigger points even when the client is enjoying a snooze.    So that at the end of the session, they arise from my table refreshed from their nap, and virtually pain-free.

I enjoy the clients most when they continue self-care between sessions...( I will know ). I expect to continue on the road of reducing dysfunction in the muscular/skeletal system not starting from scratch. I weed those out of my schedule.
