"Weighty Issues"

During discussions here, I've met a lot of people who seem to have added a few pounds here and there. Of course, this is an epidemic. We all, at one time or another, have some extra weight that suddenly appears out of nowhere! That darn dryer is shrinking clothes again! One too many glasses of wine or a pint over the limit. Extra slice of Chicago style pizza anyone? GUILTY! I lost 80 pounds through sheer will and determination. I love to cook, I love to eat, I love food and family dinners, BBQs... you get the picture. I want this group to talk about it. Share your frustrations, gain ideas from others (not lbs), get healthy recipes, new ideas for work outs, anything that is a "Weighty Issue" for you. Please help me. I continuously need the motivation and inspiration to stay healthy. I know there are others out there too.

Keep up the good work ladies! I am distantly in full support of you! Just think of me as your prego cheerleader! Minus the skimpy outfit. ;)

Okay guys and dools the results are in. After 3 weeks at Curves, I have lost 1 inch in the abs, 1 inch in the waist, and 1 inch in the hips. Boddy fat down 1/2 %. WOO HOO! I am pumped. No weight loss yet as fat is being turned into muscle so they say and is normal. They started me today on a more intense workout program so will see what happens in the next month. I am so excited. Just need to losse some of these boobs. LOL

Pat- you just gave me a heart attack! God made us figure out how to use drugs for a reason! ;) I may lead a natural as possible lifestyle, but I do have my limitations!

Congrats Marissa on your pregnancy. How exciting.
I too was a Curves member, and after speaking with several of my clients who attend, I'm going to join again. I've tried working out at home, but just can't stick with it. Always thinking of other things I should be doing around the house. Working out away from the home is my best way.

I love this warm weather here in Vermont. The last two days I've made the walk to pick my oldest son up from school. The total trip is two miles.

Darcy,
I loved Curves when I was a member. Unfortunately, I had to stop going for money reasons.

Are you going to have a water birth? Just kidding ;)

Thanks Ladies. I'm due September 25th. Another reason to be in the pool as much as possible this summer. That 3rd trimester is going to kill me. :)
