Dear Rene -

If you are interested in offering independent Continuing Education courses, first check with your State Board regarding the requirements in your state.

The requirements vary from state to state.

If you want to teach outside of your state, then check with the State Board of each state in which you want to teach to determine their requirements.

Being an NCBTMB approved provider does not guarantee that you can offer CE courses in every state. Each state has its own requirements.

This URL can be very helpful in researching the information: http://www.massagetherapy.com/careers/stateboards.php.

Please continue to post if you would like additional support.

Best wishes to you in your ongoing success and service to the massage community.

Warmly, Ariana Vincent, Ariana Institute, www.arianainstitute.com

You can get an application from the NCBTMB. That is the provider approval that most states accept. Also many states require you to get approval specifically from them, Like Florida. They use CE broker. Nebraska requires you submit your class to them separately too. Check into the state(s) you want to teach your class

To all my colleagues: Can anyone that went through the CEU certification process for the specific course they teach tell me where to get the information to get it started? I have been teaching at a school but would like to start also my own seminars offering CEUs.

I think that is one of the best traits of our profession, the ability to keep on learning forever! Keep the information coming.....

For anyone interested in developing their reflexology thumb walking technique you may visit www.orthoflexology.com
Click on the blue screen titled "Reflexology Fundamentals Introduction" there are 2 chapters from the DVD you may watch for free to improve or develop your thumb walking technique, the hip-sciatic/pelvic/knee-leg chapter is there as well and can be used for anyone presenting hip, sciatic or leg challenges. This area also works great for knumb toes.

All the best.
