I posted this on Facebook and am dragging over here.

I'm curious...does anyone else do this?

Well, perhaps I'm not dragging it over here as the copy and paste function from FB comments to here isn't working out to well.

Here are my comments:

The gist of this was that I have several neighborhoods with several clients within a select neighborhood.  We got together at a clients house and had a mini-party with massage.  Three couples, six massages one right after the other.

Again, does anyone else do this?  I've found it to be very successful.  Clients receive a great massage, have fun socializing with each other and I make a bunch of money without traveling all over town.

I have tried to have massage parties doing anything from short massages to hour long massages. I have also tried (unsuccessfully) to get hooked up with a Mary Kay rep.....make-up, massage The goal is to make ppl feel better. Although being a man I think the reps are reluctant especially when I mentioned it to one and 2 weeks later she called another MT I know and set the same thing up with her.
Any other ideas on how to get my name out there and clients coming in.

I have done several pamper parties where it is me,pink papaya or an Arbonne rep, maybe another rep and those go over well. A also did two bachelorette parties where I called it Wine Dine and Feel Fine. Basically it was three types of wine, cheese tray and chair massage. I had the hostess open the wine and serve it and did the massages before the fun started just to make sure there wasn't wine in their systems before hand. They like those as opposed to the going to a bar deal. This was in the comfort of their friend's house. I did my portion left flyers and went home. Maybe do a twist and have beer and massage parties. I surveyed my male friends and 100% of them said they would defintely attend something like that. Just a suggestion.

Hi Stephanie, thanks for the input ;)

Yes, there's almost always booze (a wide variety) at my block parties. What's nice about this is that since everyone's neighbors, they walk home with no drinking and driving.

Mixing massage and booze is a bit tricky and this is where good communication skills come in. What's worked out well for me is, those that want to 'drink in excess' are not there to receive a massage. Perhaps this is just how it works out, or, most everyone knows that if they are receiving a massage from me they're going to receive information from me in regards to booze and health and wellness ;)
