massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

I have been considering a mobile rv massage business but have several questions regarding any

"road blocks"(pun intended ;).

If anyone has any legal knowledge, advice or experience obtained I would love to hear them.

I surfed the web and saw a few in the bay area (S.F.) but I am not so sure about the LA area.

I know that there are the issues of the individual city requirements just on massage alone and I am sure that an RV/mobil vehicle has it's restrictions as well.

Thank you for any help and I appreciate your time

I f you -- and anyone working with you in the RV -- are CAMTC certified, your "establishment" is exempt from obtaining the local massage establishment permits/licenses etc.

HOWEVER

You still need to obtain a business license for any county or municipality into which you intend to roll and park and do massage. Furthermore, you will need to check zoning laws for any location in which you will park to ensure compliance with local ordinances (usually classified as peddlars or mobile food service).

Why would you go the RV route instead of just doing housecalls?

Thanks for your reply and info.  To answer your question...

A controllable environment for me.  Offering clients the convenience in multiple types

of settings i.e.; marathons, corporate etc...

Seems like a huge expense for only marginal capture gains.
