Just feeling good, and I have to tell you guys(gals too)..     A couple weeks ago a women came in the spa with a gift certificate for a 50 min. massage... She randomely got me... She told me she has been diagnosed with fibromylagia or however you spell it?  lol    Three years she has had this... at first I could hardly touch her without her flinching in pain... five 25 min. sessions later....she no longer has fibromylasia..  The Docs wanted to inject spinal segments to block the pain... her nerveous system was hyperstimulated and she wass covered with trigger points only on the right side of her spine, on the errectors...I used light tactile touch and carressing on the uneffected side to help balance her brain hemispheres and down grade the very nociocpeptive pain enough that I could work the trigger points without her jumping off the table.... she is now completely trigger point free now, and no pain...I got a really good hug from her...    Then another client, a teacher that had terrible pain lifting and moving her right arm for over 20 years...I worked on her twice..  for the first time in twenty years she lifted her arm over her head and back without pain..  She has trigger points in the bicept tendon area. She still has a ways to go though.. but a few more sessions her problem is over.. I got even a bigger hug from her.  We have a high art..   All the PTs  , Chiors, MDs those two went too, could not help.  We have a high art.  Not trying to brag.  Im on my 3rd wife and Im broke all the time..  They both did not believe me when I told them I could help them... Im just feeling good.

Hey Gordon!  I'm glad to hear another good story from you!  I want to share mine with you...

I have a new client who's been in 4 times now.  She has sciatica (one of my specialties) and intense right shoulder pain.  The first session I did good work reducing the sciatica but massage to the rhomboids etc. left her sore (at least she wasn't sore for 4 days like after other massages she's had!).  So I switched tactics and got better success.  Today I asked her to shrug her shoulder while she was prone and watched what happened.  Aha!!  I've worked through another client's similar shoulder issue over time, finding my way as I went.  So I worked on today's client with all that knowledge and in less than 10 minutes with a pain-free approach her entire shoulder all the way up into her neck and down her spine was completely, totally different!  I was so excited I was about bouncing off the walls.  All I had to do was gently work the infraspinatus and other muscles under her lateral shoulder blade and down into her arm a bit.  It was a seemingly magical transformation and totally wonderful.

Actually, for the client with the twenty year problem it was this muscle, not the bicep.

Hey, buddy.  Yep, we do have a high art.  But few of our artists are expert, most just muddy the human canvas.  Nice when they appreciate you.

I saw the lady that couldn't lift her arm a couple days ago on a follow up vist...as soon as she got into the room she lifted her arm without pain.  The medical docs told her that sense pt did not work.. Her only option is surgery.  And the young lady with the fibromylagia, no longer has it.. She was told that the only way to stop her pain was spinal injections..  Just because someone has seen an MD, Chirorpactor or a Physical Therapist without help.. Does not me that a Massage Therapist can't help them.  We are not a lower a lower level form of care.  Politically yea.  But in reality, no.  It only took a few short sessions of specific soft tissue work to help them dramatically.

Just as a follow up.   The lady still has problems lifting her arm.  After I work on her, she can lift it with no pain.  She still needs work, but its much better.  The Fibro client is healed.

Awesome stuff Gordon!

I have a new client; she called me yesterday and used the words "neck" and "desperate".  Given all the compression injuries she's had over the years from the head end and the sacral end, this will not be an easy unwinding of issues - but I know I can help her.  I was able to get her in last night, which was great!

Hi Gordon , I always enjoy hearing the transformational effect you have on your clients! .I think its time you wrote a book made a video or did a webinar .
You will reach so many more MTs new and old.

Yeah, I've been telling him the same thing.  But a lot of the stuff he is doing he can't legally share.

Uhm, maybe..  I just know for sure now, after all the years of doing soft tissue work, that not counting any serioius underlying  pathology, its soft tissue work all the way..  Usually.
