One good niche that I have found are Dentist's offices.
Dentist offices have people working there that can benefit from chair massage and their work means that their shoulders are usually in need of a lot of work. Know the way there is a day for everyone? Well, every year there is a "Dentists day", so you can do some marketing to dentists in your local area. If you get booked up on the day, you can subcontract out the work to other therapists. The nice thing about dentists is that they have money to spend on their staff. If you get in at one office, they will probably have you back periodically.
My positioning isn't great (I'm on the second page in local listings), but I still get people finding me from it anyway. The answer I gave her, Emma, was not for discouragement. These are things that must be considered even if an event/business is a great idea.

Andrea send me a message with your questions and I will be more than happy to answer them I've been in the chair massage biz for 10 years. It would be easier to answer that way.

Check into doing customer appreciation days for branded companies and work it from there. I'm doing one at a local business in conjunction with their day of fundraising for our local children's hospital summer camp. The therapist who worked this event last year gained 4 new repeat table clients and two long term contracts for on-site work at other local businesses.
