massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

It bothers me to no end when I see or hear about people offering their "massage services" and claiming to be massage therapists. Its even worse when they are licensed and are offering their "services." I want to do what I can to stop these people. Has anyone done this before? How did you go about it? Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Hello Danielle,

Two things - degree-level program and evidence-based practice. Massage grew from the rehab and spa applications, and unfortunately also the sex trade. We'll always have the association unless we break free and recreate the profession.
well if it makes you feel better the rub and tub place that is close to my house finally shut down. Don't know why but the pink "tender massage" sign is no longer on when I pass it to and from work.
