The movement is huge! As massage therapists, we've all chosen to live our lives a little different. So, this group is to discuss and share the ways that we live green at home and in our businesses. What do you do that makes this world a "little greener"? Recycle, organic sheets, lotions, e-news, community events? Please share all information and websites so we can all make a change!

Has anyone tried these yet? I'm really pushing myself for the greater good...HOWEVER... the price of these sets are slighty absurd. So, if anyone is using them, please let me know how they're…Continue

There is new product from the wonderful camu super fruit Camu Gold. My choice for youth( in my opinion). Try out our new Camu Gold Success Pack on my web...Blessings. Peter

I support a previous comment about leaving a lighter footprint. Whether we do or do not believe in global warming matters not. The discussions will rage on for many years. But as humans we can choose to live our lives in a way that is more responsible and thus better for our planet as well as for ourselves.

The controversy and disagreements about climate change will continue. I am making choices that leave a lighter footprint into the future. I want my children and future generations to enjoy this planet as much as I do. I hope that our example provides an awareness into responsibility for them.

Organically-grown cotton in my sheets and clothing, bamboo in my clothing and some towels. Simple homemade laundry detergent using washing soda, borax, baking soda, and organic castille soap bar, Organic tea tree oil and organic liquid castille soap for my hand sanitizing. Organic oil based dishwashing detergent for cleaning my stones. Natural, unrefined shea butter from community cooperatives in Africa for all bodywork (including hot stones) and reflexology sessions. Mostly organically-grown food for my meals. Compact fluorescent bulbs for lighting. Recycled paper datebook and online scheduler (free version at www.genbook.com) to keep track of my appointments. Low VOC paints from Sherwin Williams. Walking to bank and local businesses near my studio. I think that covers my conscious choices to be more environmentally aware. Namaste!

Mirra- what do you guys think about The Jojoba Company (HobaCare)? I was slightly disappointed when my order arrived full of those p-nuts!

OMG! Thank you! I am glad you found it. As for the letter-writing campaign, that is exactly the type of vision I have for GreenMassage. I have talked to Tim at Sacred Earth, and in my opinion, they are the best of the big ones. Also, Stephanie at Bon Vital has been making changes in their line; we just need them to get their shipping green and not full of styrofoam p-nuts!

I am also working up a deal with Spa-Booker where we can refer friends and get a commission on it. I will post the link as soon as they get it to me. I LOVE it! It is a user-friendly, capable, expansive system for online scheduling and they have a user forum to suggest features.

Mirra- That's awesome! Glad to have you aboard! Actually, back on August 30th, yours was the first website that I listed for everyone to get inspired by. Funny how life works, huh? :)

For those of you who like to use oil..... www.jojobacompany.com is a good place to go. I'm sure most of you know the benefits of using pure, unrefined, 100% organic jojoba "oil". You can actually find this oil through several of the more common massage and spa retailers... HOWEVER, going directly through the company itself is cheaper. I know, I searched. ;)
