Hi there. Some of the things I do to retain clients and help drive loyalty is to make sure I do my best every time regardless of how I am feeling personally.  I always keep my studio spotless and it smells great too, plus I use the best products and tools that I can afford so that my clients have the best experience possible.  In addition to focusing on providing excellent customer service, I have generous referral and loyalty programs. I send out discount coupons every quarter in my newsletter which my clients can and do share with family, friends and colleagues.

Tonya - I agree with everything you do!  Newsletters are a great way to keep you active in their mind.  When I come across and article that is relevant to my client, I send it to them.  They appreciate I took the time to care for them even when not in session.  I am also a big believer in showing your appreciation through discounts.  Don't we all?  Sometimes I will just say, you know what lets call 70 today instead of 75.  Or, I offer 20% off for every referral and fist time visit.  A great way to encourage your clients to help build your business base.

Hi Jenna, everything you said is so true. I find that when I go the extra mile to show my clients that I truly care and value their business not only does this make me feel great but they (my clients) become the best marketing cheerleaders ever. I make it a point to look out for articles that will resonate with or benefit my clients. For instance I have a couple of clients who have plantar fasciits so I'll include an article on that condition in my newsletter or send it by email to the two clients, I'll do something similar for my fibromyalgia clients or my client who suffers from depression and anxiety etc. I am always looking for ways I can add additional value to my clients.
Fantastic ideas...I am just starting my new business in Louisiana where there are a lot of Therapists already. The Salon I am working out of tries to promote me but I have made flyers with a 25% off massage services and carried them to local businesses and introduced myself in the process. I have sold gift cards and all the business I have created is off these flyers...Also in the process the clients I have made have rescheduled (all the sessions next week are repeat clients 8)) I go the extra mile for these clients and really listen to what their needs are...That is the key. There is nothing worse than paying a lot of money for a massage session where the therapist does not listen to what the client wants. I am excited because I am only 6 weeks in the business process and it is paying for itself (ie room rent and daycare) plus some. This is what I have done so far but I am still needing more insight because I need to fill up my schedule. 8)
