Stephen...no I'm not talking sex. :)

I'll start...i LOVE photography. (Stephen's photo inspired me to share). I started taking photos with my daughter's birth and realized how much i loved it and how much of an eye i had for it. Here's just a couple of my best.

Hi Lisa, I'm like you, I chose to stop riding and racing motorbikes due to injury potential. I already chiped a vertebra, got a plate in my left arm and lost the tip of a pinkie..OUCH! tough but sound choices methinks.

Wow that's beautiful Choice.

might i add that i also mountain bike and i know they have amazing trails in Utah!! :) although since i've made a real push to get my practice off the ground i have stopped biking. unfortunately even a minor crash that would cause a minor bruise, if in the wrong spot (i.e. my forearms for instance) would render me useless for a session and so i just can't take that risk right now. :(
I gave up my road bike this year. I've been hit by cars twice in 6 years. The last one was in May 2005 when an elderly man pulled in front of me as I was coming out of the mountains at nearly 40mph. I shattered my left elbow and have a plate, screws, pins, wire and my own hip bone...it's still only about 80% of full useage and that's where it will stay. I figure hiking and snowshoeing to be safer.....and better for my career. I still have my mountain bike though I haven't ridden it this year.
Hey Choice thats tough, I know I been there with ya,..... laying in the road not knowing if this is it or not. But it does come in handy when a brother biker comes in with his/her wounds? empathy empathy.

Lisa, these are awesome! Keep up the good work. I fell in love with the video camera when my older daughter was showing Morgan horses... there's nothing I love better than sitting at a horse show & capturing a great ride on video. I have always had horses like you guys have bikes, I guess. (Horse shows are also a great venue to do chair massage!) In my other fun lives, I am a classically-trained musician (viola) who loves bluegrass music, a weaver, a really bad gardener (if you're not killing something, you're not really stretching yourself as a gardener), nature lover, animal lover. I'm a mom and soon-to-be first-time grandma (?!) in January, which sounds fun, we'll see...! I love to eat. I confess to being a beer snob, love the occasional shot of single malt, and enjoy a really proper Finnish sauna, and I really love to dance!
Marissa, et al--thank you for the compliments. :)

Trevor--not a twin, but a sweetie who supports and encourages some of my more . . . bizarre hobbies and the ever-present development of new ones.

Choice--owowowowowOW! I shattered my right forearm a couple of years ago and it took forever for it to heal, but luckily I didn't have to have a cast at all, nor a splint for longer than a couple of weeks. How long did it take you to get up and massaging again?

Hey Erica....I had the accident on a May 25 and in mid-October of that same year did a seated massage job at a convention. Didn't work nearly as much as I wanted to, but it was a good start. Now, 4 years later, it still hurts on most days, but I don't really pay much attention to it. I sort've learned how to just "step out and away" from the pain. It works. I've put in 40 hours of chair massage since last Thursday. Now I'll take a coupla days rest.

Might I reiterate what Marissa said......you are a bad ass with that fire.

Stephen, have to agree about laying on the road. I stayed conscious the whole time and even remember seeing the blue sky as I cartwheeled over the guy's car. Some amazing thoughts go thru your head.
