I don't know about you guys but when I learned hot stone therapy in school, I thought of it as only a very pleasurable, deeply relaxing massage. However, since I started working I have been surprised at the power these stones have!
I have a regular client in her mid 40s who suffered a stroke about 5 years ago and is still in a lot of chronic and acute pain from her brain and body rewiring themselves neurologically. We started hot stones to help her relax and as an extra muscle relaxant but found out that it actually helps her physically release the pain!
I loved hot stone therapy from the moment I received my first stone massage but now I believe more than ever that these rocks have a power all of their own!

I've been doing Stone therapy for 10 years and have noticed I stopped due to how much prep is needed. However the stones, hot or cold can be used as great tools. I also will sometimes use crystals, remember to conscious of your gripping and alignment. I also highly recommend homeopathic Triflora gel as it is great for tired, sore and arthritic hands, I find it very effective!

I took a class in stone therapy about 5 years ago and only used it on a few clients that requested it. Now I have arthritis in my hands and am recommending it to a lot of my clients because it is much easier on me (and on the client).

I love it!
