massage and bodywork professionals

a community of practitioners

Greetings,

My name is Carey O’Connell and I am the administrator for Abaton Center of Healing Arts. We are newly opened continuing education provider for the healing arts community with grand visions of becoming not only a local but national educator for both beginning and advanced therapists working on their pathway to true healing. As I worked to plan and launch this center I realized the desperate need for massage therapists to have an avenue or space to come together and share ideas, practices and common goals. It surprised me to see the utter lack of this support for the healing community. I made a note to put something together and now that Abaton Center of Healing Arts is open and committed to hold space for this type of purpose I feel that time has come. I must admit that I was intimidated by the powerful healing energy and spirit of the practitioners in this industry. I cannot claim to possess or even fully understand the depth of the healing energy of those that I have had the great fortune to meet up to this point. I examined this thought and realized that although my hands are not that of a healer they are that of an organizer so that is what I offer you in kindness this day.

The Healers Connection is a free to attend meeting that is held monthly at Abaton Center. This is a casual opportunity for practitioners in the healing arts including; massage therapists, acupuncturists, nutritionists, and more to meet and share ideas, techniques, and communicate space needs or even items for sale to one another. My vision is to conduct panels for Q&A on a variety of topics, host guest speakers and come together as volunteers in the community.

Our individual strengths become more powerful when we unite under a common cause and goal and I can only imagine the wonderful things that will come when this community truly unites. I look forward to serving you as a coordinator, organizer and supporter.

Namaste

Carey
